SENATE BILL 5543-A
AND ASSEMBLY BILL 7060-A
NEED YOUR HELP TO GET PASSED
but HOW? can you help? YES! You Sure Can!
It's Easy and it will help our cause to the Max!
First, here is the letter we want you to sign:

As a member of the United Retired Firefighter's Association (URFA), I am proud  to be among the 14,000 retired New York City Firefighters that make up this organization. Our members are proud to have served in the Fire Department,City of New York, where we spent many years responding to virtually every conceivable type of fire and emergency. We, retired NYC Firefighters enjoyed exciting rewarding careers, but an unfortunate side effect of firefighting is the constant exposure to noxious smoke and other toxic substances, as well as the danger of traumatic injuries and burns. I was aware of, and accepted the risks associated with this but I did so, confident in the knowledge that my Healthcare
would be assured during my "Golden Years".
Today, however, I, as well as my colleagues are deeply troubled at the prospect
that our health benefits will be incrementally eroded through loss of coverage, increased premiums and deductibles etc. Currently there are two bills before the New York State Senate and Assembly which would guarantee the continuation of our health benefits for the foreseeable future. I therefore respectfully urge you
to vote in favor of SENATE BILL 5543-A & ASSEMBLY BILL 7060-A.

While our numbers may seem small, most of us have wives and children of voting age. Additionally, many of the retired firefighters remain active in various community service organizations. Therefore, the retired firefighters sphere of influence extends well beyond our meager numbers. You may rest assured that your support for these Bills would be warmly viewed and appreciated by our friends, families and associates.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

                                                                       Sincerely yours,

                                                                                                ______________________________

THIS IS HOW YOU CUT AND PASTE:
PUT THE BLINKING CURSOR AFTER THE LAST WORD OF THE LAST SENTENCE.

In the related issue box I checked "UNIONS".
In the Subject Box I put the two bills: 5543-A  & 7060-A
[To the left you will see your Assembly District, write down the number of your Assembly District-you will need that number  later when we go to the Assembly Page.]

My District Number is 33, so I clicked on that and
got Barbara Clark.

Next you have to click on "CONTACT" to send your letter.
Now scroll down and put in the appropriate information,
just like you did on the Senate Page.

BILL (917) 902-6689
If you still want to do it the old fashioned way you can.
Just highlight the letter, making sure you include the closing,
cut and paste it into a word document.
Remember to save it in a folder.
Next PRINT  it.
After it prints "SIGN IT!" and then send it to your
State Senator and Assembly Person.
All that information of where they are located is on
the State and Assembly Home pages.
Now if you filled this out at the Meeting,
and you sent it this way, it's quite OK.
The more letters they receive the better.
Thank you for your diligence in this Matter!
